It is my pleasure to welcome you all to the 2008 Anniversary tournament. This coincides with the club’s 70^th Anniversary Celebration (three scores and 10) which makes it very unique.

On behalf of the Executive Committee, I wish all participants, guests and friends hitch-free tournament at Ikoyi Club 1938, other sports section.

I also want to thank everybody that has participated and contributed to the success of this tournament.

I also want to thank the general committee for their immense support in ensuring that all games are competed for and successful.

By all indications and from my personal experience over the years, this year’s tournament no doubt will surpass all previous editions in terms of organization, range of events, quality of prizes, glamour etc.

I would therefore like to commend the efforts of the section’s committee and especially the Games Captain, Mr. Sumbo Ileyemi, for their commitment to ensure the success of this very important event.

Let me seize this opportunity to inform you of the upcoming quadrangular games in the month of November which will be hosted by our great Ikoyi Club 1938.
